Killertone Studio Pack Kemper profiles were created with many of the world’s most popular guitar amplifiers.

Engineered in Austin, TX by Jason Frankhouser at Killertone Studios, each profile was designed with close attention to detail and with the different needs of Kemper users in mind.

For most of the included profiles, a studio, direct, and merged profile is included. This ensures that all the sounds can be implemented in the way that each individual uses their Kemper Profiler. Most of the profiles do not include any additional EQ and were created so the user can customize the sound from an authentic starting point of each amplifier profiled. Some sounds have dynamic and ribbon mics blended while others were designed with a single mic.

As this is a Killertone signature pack, many of the profiles employ Jason’s favorite boosts and are designed to be tight and articulate right out of the gate. Boosts used include the Fortin Grind and 33, Ibanez TS10 Tubescreamer, original Ibanez Super Tube, and KHDK Paranormal.

Other profiles do not use boosts and are ready for you to use your favorite pedal in front or to use as is; it’s your call.

Amplifiers used include a 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555, 2006 ENGL Blackmore, 1983 Marshall JCM800 2204, 1993 Mesa Triple Rectifier Revision F, 2003 Marshall DSL100, 1986 Randall RG80ES, 2018 Hiwatt Custom 50 Super-Hi, 2007 Marshall JVM410H, and a Fender Deluxe Reverb.

A well broken-in USA Randall RC412 cab loaded with Celestion V30s was used for all profiles along with either a Shure SM57 or sE Electronics VR1 Ribbon microphone. Some profiles have both mics blended to get the best of both worlds.

Users are encouraged to tweak and sculpt with the powerful tools inside your Kemper to achieve their own killer tones.

KILLERTONE Studio Pack

All profiles were made with a USA Randall RC412 Cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.

Mics Used: Shure SM57 and a sE Electronics VR1 Ribbon. Mics were moved around depending on the profile. Some profiles contain a blend of both mics.
